Insurance Verification Coordinator

To support a growing healthcare team, the full-time Insurance Verification Coordinator will ensure accurate benefit information and authorizations are obtained prior to patient care, working remotely while adhering to a Monday through Friday schedule with occasional Saturday shifts. Key responsibilities: Obtain and document detailed benefit information and authorizations from various insurance providers Monitor and manage task flow related to insurance verification and authorization issues in the EMR system Collaborate with clinical staff and other departments to resolve funding source problems and discrepancies Required qualifications: Associate degree or equivalent experience in insurance verification, authorization, or medical billing preferred Minimum of one year of relevant experience in the healthcare insurance field Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with insurance websites Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party insurance requirements Experience with Homecare Homebase is strongly preferred
