Dental Assistant - EFDA

Role Requirement: This position requires an active Oregon EFDA certification and a minimum of 1 year of dental assisting experience. Candidates without an EFDA certification will not be considered. Life Support: Active BLS/CPR certification Mindset: A warm, patient-focused attitude with the ability to keep energy high and positive in a busy pediatric clinic What You’ll Do (Responsibilities) As an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant, you will play a critical role in clinical efficiency and patient comfort: Chairside Excellence: Provide high-quality four‑handed dentistry alongside our pediatric dentists during clinical procedures. Expanded Duties: Place matrix bands, place temporary restorations, and perform other EFDA duties allowed under Oregon regulations. Patient Experience: Guide children and parents through their appointments, using age‑appropriate language to ease anxiety and build confidence. Clinical Flow: Prepare, sterilize, and turn over treatment rooms efficiently to maintain a smooth daily schedule.
