Clinical Inquiry Specialist-Genetic Counselor

Abbott seeks a Clinical Inquiry Specialist-Genetic Counselor to manage clinical and technical inquiries related to genetic testing for rare disease. The role requires providing expertise to laboratory staff, collaborating across departments, and supporting client education and business development initiatives.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical guidance on test ordering, modifications, and results interpretation
Collaborate with molecular geneticists and departments to deliver timely test results
Develop marketing materials, website content, and present at scientific conferences
Create educational materials and deliver public speaking engagements
Train genetic counseling assistants and support special project implementation

Requirements

Master's degree in genetic counseling
ABGC/CCGC board certification or eligibility
Authorization to work in United States without sponsorship
2+ years clinical experience in pediatric, prenatal, MFM/NICU, or adult genetics
Experience with whole genome and whole exome testing
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to analyze complex problems and prioritize tasks

Compensation: $61,300–$122,700 base
