Account Manager, Chromatography/Mass Spec Instrument Sales

Account Manager for chromatography and mass spectrometry instrument sales covering San Diego County. Responsible for managing strategic laboratory accounts, driving territory quota across analytical instrumentation, and building relationships with applied-market customers in environmental, clinical, food and beverage, and related sectors.
Responsibilities
- Own territory quota, forecast, and market-share goals across chromatography, mass spectrometry, spectroscopy, software, consumables, and services
- Build and execute strategic territory plans targeting high-value segments and untapped accounts
- Manage and grow multi-million-dollar strategic accounts through relationship building across end users and leadership
- Lead complex consultative sales cycles from discovery through solution design, business justification, negotiation, and close
- Partner with product specialists, application engineers, and cross-functional teams to develop integrated workflow solutions and support customers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in chemistry, biology, or applied science; equivalent experience acceptable
- 4+ years field sales or account management in analytical instrumentation or laboratory technology
- Hands-on knowledge of chromatography and mass spectrometry (GC, LC, GC/MS, LC/MS); LC/MS experience strongly preferred
- Proven experience selling capital equipment through full sales cycle and meeting/exceeding quota
- Ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder opportunities independently with sound judgment
- Strong business acumen, presentation, negotiation, and cross-functional leadership skills
- Valid driver's license meeting Agilent safety requirements; willingness to travel regularly within territory
Compensation: $158,012–$263,354/year base plus bonus, stock, and benefits eligibility
