You'll play an important role in ensuring patients receive the specialty care they need while helping create a seamless healthcare experience. . Responsibilities: Process specialty and diagnostic referrals Coordinate appointments with outside providers, specialists, and health plans Obtain and track authorizations and referral statuses Communicate appointment details and provide patient education Maintain accurate referral logs and patient records Verify insurance coverage and demographic information Follow up on outstanding referrals and required documentation Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, and insurance carriers Assist with registration, scheduling, and front office responsibilities . Requirements: At least 1 year of referral and authorization experience (required) Experience working with IPA/HMO plans Strong understanding of insurance processes and prior authorizations Knowledge of ICD and CPT codes Bilingual in Spanish Strong customer service and communication skills Cerner experience highly preferred . Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Compton, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
