CNC MachinistLocation: Newport News, VA Pay: Competitive Pay Based on Experience Schedule: Full-Time Opportunities Available | Various Shifts If you have experience operating, setting up, or programming CNC equipment and are looking for your next career opportunity, we want to connect with you.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC machines including mills, lathes, machining centers, and related equipmentRead and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructionsMeasure and inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicatorsPerform machine adjustments and tool changes to maintain quality and productivityMonitor machining operations and troubleshoot equipment issues as neededMaintain accurate production and inspection recordsAdhere to all safety, quality, and company proceduresWork collaboratively with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teamsPreferred QualificationsExperience operating CNC mills, lathes, horizontal or vertical machining centersAbility to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical specificationsKnowledge of machining practices, tooling, feeds, and speedsFamiliarity with precision measuring equipment and quality inspection processesExperience with CNC setup, editing offsets, and basic programming is a plusAbility to work independently and in a team-oriented manufacturing environmentHigh school diploma, GED, trade school certification, or equivalent experience preferredPeopleShare is the leading Staffing Agency in the region and has temporary to hire and permanent jobs across 8 states.
