Job Title: Machinist III (CNC)
Duration: 12 Months (One Year)

Rate: $32 per hour

Schedule:

• 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
• Willingness to work Overtime and weekends as required
• 40 hours/week

Location Pasadena, Texas (On-site)

Role Summary
The Machinist III is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring manual and CNC machining equipment to manufacture metallic and non-metallic components that meet strict quality, safety, and dimensional requirements. This role supports high-volume industrial manufacturing in a fast-paced shop environment and requires strong blueprint reading, machining accuracy, and troubleshooting capability. Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and CNC machines, including lathes and mills
• Machine components using conventional, special-purpose, and NC/CNC equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, sketches, manuals, and specifications
• Determine machining sequences, setup requirements, dimensions, and tolerances
• Adjust machine controls to correct issues related to speed, feed, depth of cut, and coolant flow
• Select, align, and secure cutting tools, fixtures, attachments, and materials
• Monitor machining operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions
• Perform in-process inspections and ensure parts meet quality and dimensional standards
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and comply with all safety procedures

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and machining documentation
• Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry to machining calculations
• Experience setting machining parameters (speed, feed, angles, depth of cut)
• Familiarity with CNC controls for retrieving, editing, and inputting programs
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 5-6 years of hands-on experience operating manual and/or CNC machines (Lathe and/or Mill)
• Industrial or manufacturing environment experience preferred
