Real Estate Associate Attorney – Los Angeles (Century City)

Direct Counsel is seeking a Real Estate Associate to join a prestigious Am Law 100 law firm in Los Angeles.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a junior to mid-level real estate attorney with 3–4 years of experience to join a nationally recognized real estate practice handling sophisticated commercial real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have experience representing clients in a broad range of complex real estate matters and will thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in a variety of sophisticated commercial real estate transactions.

• Handle acquisitions and dispositions of commercial real estate assets across multiple asset classes.

• Assist with real estate financing transactions, including borrower and lender-side matters.

• Draft, review, and negotiate purchase agreements, loan documents, joint venture agreements, leases, and other transaction-related documents.

• Participate in due diligence reviews, transaction structuring, negotiations, and closings.

• Advise clients on real estate investment, ownership, development, and operational matters.

• Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups to support complex transactions and client objectives.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships while providing practical, business-focused legal advice.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with a strong academic record.

• 3–4 years of experience handling commercial real estate transactions at a sophisticated law firm.

• Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, financings, joint ventures, fund formation, and/or leasing transactions.

• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Superior attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple transactions and competing deadlines effectively.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Work Environment

Compensation & Benefits

Expected compensation ranges from $260,000 to $310,000 , depending on experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
