Geospatial Analyst The Geospatial Analyst will conduct research on remote sensing and machine learning to develop models that produce spatial data products required for large-scale agricultural systems modeling. Location: Temple, TX. Work Location: On-site or Remote. Agency: Texas A&M AgriLife Research. Department: Temple. Job Type: Staff. Responsibilities Develop and improve machine learning models for estimating crop biophysical properties using satellite remote sensing datasets. Implement spatial and remote sensing data processing algorithms to produce datasets to integrate and/or assimilate into crop models. Assist with literature review, reports, and publishing research findings in peer‑reviewed journals. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Environmental Science/Engineering, or related field, with four years of related experience. Or, Master's degree in Data Science, Environmental Science/Engineering, or related field, with two years of related experience. Experience working on spatial data processing using ArcGIS, R, and/or Python. Experience in building, training, and deploying machine learning models. Experience working with satellite remote sensing data and data mining techniques. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to multi‑task and work cooperatively with others. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in the Unix/Linux environment. Expertise in data assimilation techniques.
