Operations Support Specialist I

SUM M A R Y:

This is an entry level position responsible for providing internal customer service with a broad range of operational support activities for local and regional Pike Engineering operations. This role will report to a Supervisor or Manager in a Pike Engineering office.

Under supervision the individual in this role is expected to: CO M PLEXITY OF WORK : Semi-routine; majority of work covered by established procedures.

   EXPERIENCE

EDU C A T ION Required HighschooldegreeorGED. Preferred Associatesdegree(AAorequivalentfromtwo-yearcollegeortechnicalschool). EXPERIENCE 0-1 Year(s) Experience in similar support role or performing general administrative duties. Familiarity with utility or engineering office operations is preferred.

L A NGU A G E SKILL S :

Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, operational procedures, etc. Ability to write simple correspondence.

M A THE M A T IC A L SKILL S :

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret spread sheets

A. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. B. Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.
