Technician - Manufacturing Process Technician - Packaging (Night Shift)

Responsibilities Adhere to RTP Plant safety policies and procedures, contributing to a safe work environment. Setup and operate highly automated equipment in the Packaging area. Adhere to standard operating procedures and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) to ensure product quality. Document process steps on appropriate batch documentation (Electronic Ticket, SAP, Cleaning Logs, etc.). Attain and maintain qualification for operation of assigned process equipment and duties. Identify opportunities for operational improvements. Proactively monitor documentation and product quality, properly documenting all activities and reporting issues to supervision. Contribute to the achievement of departmental objectives, including safety performance, deviation reduction, productivity, and training compliance. Schedule 12‑hour shift (2‑2‑3 schedule). The role is currently in the startup phase of operations, requiring flexibility and willingness to perform non‑routine work with safety and integrity in mind. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis. Lilly will not sponsor work authorization or visas for this role. 3+ years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or equivalent regulated industry. Previous experience working in a GMP environment; strong knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems and electronic batch release. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles. Basic computer skills (desktop software). Strong multitasking ability, strong attention to detail, and ability to develop independence in performing daily tasks. Collaborative work ethic with a strong bias for action. Demonstrated ability to train and coach others. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Flexibility and problem‑solving skills. Ability to wear safety equipment (safety glasses, shoes, gloves, etc.) and work overtime as required.
