This position provides a rare chance to engage with a diverse population in a blend of outpatient therapy alongside occasional inpatient care. Assess patients across all age groups, applying both standardized methods and observational tactics.
Create customized treatment strategies that focus on immediate objectives as well as long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing requirements.
Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions targeting language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
Partner with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to develop seamless care coordination.
Provide education to patients and families to foster progress while outside of therapy sessions.
Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a continuum of care throughout the treatment process.
Document services accurately and timely in compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in the field through ongoing professional development and collaboration.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be attained within 30 days of starting employment.
Expert in evidence-informed treatment techniques tailored for all ages, alongside a solid knowledge of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing challenges.
Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Capable of modifying therapeutic approaches to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Sound clinical judgment and problem-solving capacity.
Proficient in electronic health records and documentation protocols.
