Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides expert nursing care in the emergency room setting, ensuring immediate and ongoing patient assessment, intervention, and treatment. Supervises and coordinates nursing staff and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality, efficient emergency care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess critically ill or injured patients upon arrival and prioritize care based on severity.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and departmental protocols.
• Supervise and guide nursing staff, delegating tasks appropriately to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate timely interventions.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, and post-discharge care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and clinical observations.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of two years recent experience working in emergency care or actively in an ER environment.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
• Strong assessment skills, critical thinking, and ability to work under pressure.
• Basic proficiency in collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
