We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and energetic Business Office Manager to lead the financial and administrative operations of our facility. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love problem-solving, and enjoy working with a supportive healthcare team — we’d love to meet you!What You’ll Do: Manage billing, accounts receivable, and collection activities for private collections in the facility Organize, evaluate, and monitor business office operations Meet with Clinical MDS and Therapy teams to ensure all coding on claims are accurate for billing purposes Ensure integrity and confidentiality of all patients' financial data Perform collection activities for patient accounts Establish and maintain financial record keeping systems including:Issuing receiptsPreparing and making bank depositsRecording payments using proper segregation of duties Manage census activities including daily, weekly, and monthly balancing with nursing and admissions departments Produce reports for analysis purposes as needed Manage month-end close activities related to charge capture and submission of billing statements/invoices Ensure compliance with all billing policies and procedures Monitor ongoing projects related to AR, billing, and collections within the center File claim appeals and reconsiderations when necessaryWhat We’re Looking For: Strong organizational and communication skills Healthcare billing or long-term care experience preferred Knowledge of AR, collections, and insurance billing Ability to multitask and manage deadlines Team player with a positive attitude and professional demeanor What We Offer:Competitive salary- $65-75,000/yearlyExcellent healthcare benefits including medical, dental, and vision401(k) with company matchProfessional growth and development opportunitiesSupportive leadership and team environmentIf you’re ready to bring your skills and positivity to a team that truly values what you do, apply today!General PurposeSupports facility operations by maintaining business office systems and supervision staff.Essential DutiesObtain managed care and Medi-Cal or Medicaid authorizations including bedholds.Assist with managing resident trust fund, including printing and distributing monthly statements.Supervise business office staff, including taking appropriate disciplinary measures.Maintain census and report status changes.May attend stand-up meetings at the request of the Administrator.Assist with Medi-Cal or Medicaid applications.Prepare TARS as needed.Track Medi-Cal and Medicaid redeterminations.Participate in billing and payment processes including preparing bank deposits.Undertake collection activity for bad debts.Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.Supervisory RequirementsAssist with the overall supervision and management of the business office staff.QualificationEducation and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent.Strong understanding of skilled nursing billing and payment as well as proficient in Microsoft products computer skills.Preferable one-year experience in a long term care facility.Language SkillsAbility to read technical procedures.Ability to read and comprehend policy and procedure manuals.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.Mathematical SkillsAbility to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsKnowledge and experience with PCC preferred.Physical DemandsThe essential functions of this position require the following physical abilities: Prolong use of computer.
