Registered Nurse - Psychiatric - Pediatric

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized psychiatric nursing care for pediatric patients within a hospital setting. Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver compassionate, patient-centered mental health support to children and adolescents.

Responsibilities:

• Assess pediatric patients' mental health needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer and monitor medication treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Provide therapeutic interventions and emotional support to young patients and their families.
• Document patient progress, treatment responses, and any changes in condition accurately.
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and coping strategies.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Registered Nurse with psychiatric specialization preferred.
• Proven experience in pediatric mental health nursing.
• Strong assessment and clinical documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage children and families effectively.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) desirable.
