Instructional Design Specialist (ISD)-Curriculum Developer

Purpose Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for an Instructional Design Specialist who will be a key support to the Training Systems Developer and will create and deploy multi-platform training content used by various employees to learn new technical skills or other job-related functions. Job Description / Responsibilities Develop instructional materials such as PowerPoint lectures, trainees' guides, audio and video scripts, storyboards, tests, etc., to transform technical information into professionally written, engaging instruction. Identify learning objectives, performance outcomes, and evaluative strategies by consulting with program owners and subject matter experts to identify performance gaps and content requirements. Apply knowledge of education principles and distance learning concepts, graphic design, and electronic teaching techniques to determine the goals, duration, approach, and instructional media that are most effective for courseware and training purposes. Follow ADDIE/PADDIE-M models to develop instructional design plans and final training products. Identify program training gaps based on attendee feedback, program effectiveness evaluations, and process reviews. Manage Q&A follow-ups, project evaluations, and communicate relevant information to internal stakeholders. Qualifications Must have a Bachelor's Degree and at least 2 years of experience in training development and delivery, OR Associate's Degree in a related field with at least 4 years of experience, OR completion of a Military Master Training with at least 6 years of experience in curriculum development (technical nature). Must have experience with Adobe Creative Suite. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio. Desired Qualifications Experience with Illustrator and/or Photoshop. Experience in developing instructional design plans following ADDIE/PADDIE-M models. Experience in graphic design. Security Requirements Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. Travel Requirements Occasional Travel — less than 10% If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.
