Public Housing Specialist

Position: Public Housing Specialist Location: Georgetown KY Shift: Monday - Thursday 8am - 4:30pm and Friday 8am - 12:00pm (35 Hours a week) Payrate: $18.00/hr We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Public Housing Specialist to support housing applications, leasing, waiting list administration, resident services, and day-to-day housing program operations. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while working with sensitive applicant and resident information. If you're dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoy helping people, we'd love to hear from you! What you will be doing: Processing and reviewing housing applications for program eligibility. Scanning, Uploading and importing all paper and online applications Managing and updating waiting lists. Collecting and verifying required applicant documentation. Preparing eligibility notices, leases, addenda, and move-in paperwork. Calculating tenant rent, deductions and eligible expenses Prepare move in packets Conducting new resident orientations. Maintaining accurate applicant and resident files. Helping ensure available housing units are leased in a timely manner. Conducting periodic property and unit inspections. Communicate with maintenance regarding unit availability and projected move in dates. Maintain a pool of eligible applicants Monitor office and housing supplies and submit requests Assisting residents with information about local community resources. Work with HUD, other housing offices, outside agencies, applicants, and residents as needed. Collecting rent and maintaining accurate records. Process late payment charges and utility bills Responding promptly to applicants, residents, agencies, HUD, and other housing offices. Communicating with Maintenance regarding available units and upcoming move-ins. Providing friendly, professional customer service both in person and online. Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive applicant and resident information. Maintain effective communication with residents, coworkers, Maintenance, and management What we need from you: Must be at least 18 years of age or over Must comply with client’s substance abuse & backgroundpolicy Must have Valid DL Must have Highschool Diploma/Equivalent Must have Administrative experience Must have Microsoft Office experience Strong organizational and record-keeping skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work professionally with applicants, residents, coworkers, government agencies, and the public. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
