Work Environment\n

This role will be based remotely while facilitating services to a diverse student population. Our clinic promotes flexibility, allowing you to work in a setting conducive to fostering mental health and wellness. You will provide services Monday through Friday, and occasional evening shifts or weekend coverage may be required based on clinic needs. Your collaboration with school staff, mental health professionals, and parents will help to ensure a holistic and well-rounded support system for our students.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments of students, assessing their personal history, presenting concerns, and identifying risk factors that may impact their academic and social success.

• Collaborate with students to develop tailored treatment plans that address mental health issues while promoting their emotional resilience and facilitating seamless integration within the school community.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused therapy, to meet the diverse needs of our students.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions designed to bolster personal growth, enhance emotional regulation, and teach effective coping strategies.

• Work closely with other mental health providers, such as psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during urgent mental health episodes, employing de-escalation techniques and making necessary referrals for higher levels of care.

• Educate students and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources to empower them in their journey.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes while adhering to legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in interdisciplinary meetings and training sessions to promote ongoing learning and collaboration among the mental health team.

• Stay informed about current laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines pertaining to school-based mental health practices.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Virginia.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, ideally within mental health or educational settings.

• Proficiency in conducting mental health assessments, diagnosing conditions, and developing appropriate treatment plans.

• Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy using a variety of therapeutic techniques.

• Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer literacy.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
