Membership Sales Associate Part Time

Job Summary Responsible for executing Acquisition 365, renewing, upgrading, and cross‐selling BJ’s Loyalty Programs. Also handles merchandise returns, exchanges, pick‑ups, and general customer service inquiries, ensuring excellent and efficient member service. Responsibilities Promote BJ’s value proposition regarding acquisition, retention, perks, and the member experience. Convert potential members by actively and effectively pitching all membership programs in accordance with company policies and practices. Sell BJ’s membership products to potential new and existing members with high energy and determination. Drive toward goal achievement defined by business‑established benchmarks and results. Exhibit clear understanding of all BJ’s membership options, including the co‑brand credit card. Deliver superior customer service as the first line of contact regarding membership, credit card applications, general questions, issues, merchandise returns, exchanges, product look‑up, and pick‑ups. Follow tax‑exempt/resale membership policies, monitoring member renewals and status. Resolve member concerns in a courteous and timely manner, escalating issues to PIC and MOD when necessary. Assist with BOPIC (Buy Online and Pick Up In Club) orders for members. Maintain all club policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed. Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance. Daily commitment to GOLD Member Standards: Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate (GAA) Fast, Friendly, Full, Fresh, Clean club standards Work as a team to deliver GOLD club standards daily. Commit and take pride to deliver Grand opening look daily. Ensure all items are stocked, promotional plans executed, visible accurate signage maintained, and the club remains clean and organized. Qualifications Prior front‑line/customer service or previous sales experience preferred. Results driven with proven success in goal achievement. Basic math skills preferred. Computer proficiency preferred. Ability to uphold honesty, integrity, and member‑focused service. Environmental Job Conditions The role is predominantly stationary on hard surfaces, with occasional need to examine or scan merchandise, bend, handle, pull, reach, or stoop. Requires lifting up to 30 pounds, and may require moving heavier objects with assistance. Work is conducted in an indoor area with infrequent exposure to temperature extremes or loud noises. Pay Transparency Compensation range: $17.00 - $20.83 per hour, depending on location, education, experience, and qualifications.
