What You ll Do

• Provide adult cardiothoracic surgical care, including open CV/thoracic procedures
• Assist with coronary artery bypass surgeries (on pump) and valvular repairs/replacements
• Support and perform other specified procedures such as thoracic surgeries and lung resections (including VATS)
• Assist with perioperative management and ICU care of cardiothoracic patients
• Participate in call coverage nightly, holiday, and 24-hour shifts held at scheduled times
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, midlevels, RNs, and ancillary staff
• Assist with patient evaluations, management of acute volume and blood pressure issues, and insertion of central lines

What You Need
Required:

• WA Physician Assistant license
• Cardiothoracic surgery experience (OR and ICU)
• Ability to assist in open surgeries and rounding as needed
• EPIC EMR experience

Preferred:

• Procedural skills including aneurysm repair, lung resections, ventricular assist devices, and ventilation management
• Experience with ICU patient management and complex surgical cases
