Locums - Silverdale, Washington, Cardiothoracic Surgery Opening (IMLC Accepted) Position Details
A facility in Silverdale, Washington is seeking a Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon for ongoing locums coverage beginning as soon as credentialed. This is an inpatient opportunity providing 24-hour call coverage while the facility recruits for a permanent replacement.
The incoming provider will support the cardiac surgery program caring for an adult patient population with a mix of surgical, ICU, and inpatient responsibilities.
Dates of Coverage- Start: As soon as credentialed
- Credentialing timeframe currently averaging approximately 90 days
- Duration: 9-12 months
- 24-hour call coverage
- Coverage needed 1-2 weekends per month
- FTE: 1.0
- Inpatient
- 100% Adult patient population
- EMR: EPIC
- 5-10 patients per day
- 0-3 admissions
- 2-7 ICU patients
- 1-2 surgeries per day
Candidates must be experienced with:
- General Cardiac Surgery - Open & Endoscopic
- Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery (on-pump)
- Valvular repair & replacement
- IABP
- PA Catheter
- Balloon Pump
- Ventilation management
- Evaluation and management of acute volume/BP issues
- Central line insertion
- Board Certification - American Board of Thoracic Surgery - Required
- Washington license - Highly preferred
- IMLC accepted - Required
- ACLS - Required
- Clean malpractice history - Highly preferred
Current cardiac surgeon is relocating out of state. Facility is seeking locums support until a permanent provider is hired.
