Role Description The Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Indianapolis, IN. This role oversees general ledger activities, monthly and annual closing, and preparation of accurate financial statements and management reports. The Controller manages budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and cost accounting related to manufacturing and inventory. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising accounts payable and receivable, payroll processes, and adherence to internal controls and company policies.

Qualifications

• Strong financial accounting and reporting skills, including general ledger management, month-end close, and preparation of financial statements.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and cost accounting in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and Excel, including data analysis, financial modeling, and process optimization.
• Knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, audit support, and compliance with relevant financial regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop accounting staff, delegate effectively, and foster collaboration across departments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Prior experience as a Controller or senior accounting leader, ideally in manufacturing, equipment, or industrial services.
• Ability to work on-site in Indianapolis, IN, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
