What You'll Do

• Collect blood and other specimens from patients of all ages
• Perform venipunctures and finger-stick procedures accurately and efficiently
• Conduct bedside specimen collections in an acute care hospital - all units including NICU
• Label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing
• Maintain accurate patient information and documentation within EMR systems
• Follow all infection control, safety, and quality assurance procedures
• Provide compassionate care while helping patients feel comfortable throughout the collection process

Required Qualifications

1. 2+ years acute-care hospital phlebotomy
2. Pediatric, adult, geriatric, and NICU bedside collections
3. Venipuncture and finger-stick proficiency
4. EMR experience
5. Specimen identification/handling and tracking
6. Infection-control and aseptic technique
7. Quality-control documentation
8. Ability to work full-time in South Bay and surrounding area
