Work Shift Night (United States of America) Position Overview Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Float Pool Join the WellStar Enterprise Support Team (W.E.S.T.) and provide critical respiratory care across various units based on staffing needs. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive patient care in complex situations, primarily in critical care settings. Educate patients, families, and mentor new staff and students. Collaborate with healthcare teams to plan and implement effective care strategies. Ensure thorough patient assessments, documentation, and education while promoting a positive team environment. Administer therapies, manage ventilators, perform assessments, and provide specialized care, including assisting in invasive procedures. Maintain high patient safety standards and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Requirements Graduate of an AMA‑approved program in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Sciences (Bachelor's degree required). Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA (required). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (required). Additional certifications such as NRP or PALS (preferred). A minimum of 3+ years of current RT experience in a hospital environment (required). Strong communication, critical thinking, and relationship‑building skills. Proficient in computer use and familiar with healthcare databases.
