Vice President of OperationsThe Vice President of Operations is responsible for the leadership, performance, and continuous improvement of the manufacturing operations across our production facilities in West Nyack and Middletown, NY. Reporting to the founders of the company, this role ensures that both facilities operate safely, efficiently, profitably, and consistently while supporting the company's strategic and financial objectives.We are a founder-run, independently owned company that has grown to be a successful consumer brand, with our products distributed at Whole Foods, Sprouts, and many other retailers nationwide. As a natural foods manufacturer, we take pride in our on-site day-to-day operations and as such, we expect admin & management roles to be with us on-site during the week.We are looking for an intelligent, detail-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills who will drive operational excellence while maintaining product quality. This role reports directly to the founders and is key in helping us continue to grow and build a legacy within a fun, purpose-led, and growing company. The ideal candidate will ensure both facilities operate safely, efficiently, profitably, and consistently while supporting our strategic and financial objectives. You will focus on evaluating production numbers, labor expenses, and waste; and find ways to reduce all three. You'll also identify our bottlenecks and work to resolve them.Specific responsibilities:Lead our production efforts in fulfilling all production and delivery to our customers while maintaining high standards of safetyHelp to enhance our reputation and market acceptanceLead our efforts in designing and implementing a more rigorous and applicable process of continuous improvementStandardize manufacturing processes, policies and best practices across both plantsDrive accountability through key operational metricsDrive improvements in equipment reliability and manufacturing efficiencyParticipate in automation and process improvement initiativesBuild leadership capability through coaching and mentoringSupport long-term manufacturing capacity planningQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business, or a related field required12-15 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experienceSignificant experience leading multi-site food manufacturing or commercial bakery operationsProven success improving operational performance, productivity, and profitabilityStrong knowledge of commercial bakery or food manufacturing operationsComprehensive understanding of HACCP, SQF, GMPs, OSHA, and regulatory complianceStrong financial and analytical skillsProven ability to lead, develop, and influence leaders across multiple locationsExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsThe pay range for this position is $170,000-$185,000 plus discretionary bonus based on performance.
