Pay Range: $75,000 - $85,000

Day to Day:

• Analyze MRP purchase requirements and execute purchasing activities based on production needs and inventory targets.
• Source and purchase materials needed for manufacturing while balancing price, quality, quantity, inventory, and delivery requirements.
• Partner closely with manufacturing, planning, and supply chain teams to address material needs and resolve supply issues affecting production.
• Negotiate pricing and value with suppliers while building and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
• Analyze purchasing, inventory, and supply chain data to identify trends, risks, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Support supplier selection, setup, evaluation, and performance management while maintaining accurate supplier and material data within the ERP system.
• Participate in cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives that directly impact factory performance.

Must Haves:

• Hands-on factory/manufacturing purchasing experience supporting materials and production requirements. General procurement experience without factory exposure will not be enough.
• Strong understanding of MRP-driven purchasing, inventory management, production planning, and the relationship between material availability and factory operations.
• Demonstrated supplier management and purchasing experience, including sourcing materials, placing orders, resolving supply issues, and negotiating cost and value.
• Strong analytical and cross-functional communication skills with the ability to interpret supply chain data, identify actionable trends, independently prioritize work, and partner effectively with manufacturing, planning, suppliers, and leadership.

Plusses:

• Working knowledge of SAP.
• CSCP, CPIM, CPM, or another relevant materials/supply chain certification.
• Experience driving measurable cost reduction or continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment.

This is a direct hire opportunity. The selected candidate will be employed directly by our client.
