Job Summary:

HCA Healthcare is seeking PRN Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our team at HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce, Florida and its freestanding Emergency Department in Vero Beach.

Qualified Candidates

Must be board certified or board eligible thru the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM)
Must have Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Must have completed an Emergency Medicine Residency and Board Certified within 5 years
Covers Vero Beach Freestanding Emergency Department
Must be available to work 288 hrs./yr.

100,000 Emergency Department visits per year
42-bed Emergency Department including 5 fast track plus 5 monitored beds
3 trauma bays, including 1 pediatric
2.0 pph
70 hours total of physician coverage (Main Emergency Department and Peds Emergency Department)
60 hours of APP coverage
26% admission rate
Comprehensive Stroke facility with bi-plane
Interventional cardiac cath
Code ice facility with therapeutic hypothermia capability
Several dedicated ED glide scopes and ultrasound
24-hour inhouse Hospitalist and Intensivists
No floor code or consult responsibilities

106,000 annual patient visits in Main Emergency Department and Peds Emergency Department
42-bed Emergency Medicine including 5 fast-track plus 5 monitored beds
3 trauma bays, including 1 pediatric
2.0 pph
70 hours total of physician coverage (Main Emergency and Peds Emergency Department)
60 hours of APP coverage
26% admission rate
Comprehensive Stroke facility with bi-plane
Interventional cardiac cath
