As part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, our physicians collaborate across one of New England's premier healthcare systems, which includes: * Academic medical centers and teaching hospitals * Community and specialty hospitals * 4,700 physicians * 35,000 employees *Position Summary* Reporting to the President of Core Physicians, the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) serves as the senior physician executive responsible for clinical, operational, and strategic leadership across the organization. The CMO partners with Core Physicians, Exeter Hospital, and Beth Israel Lahey Health leadership to advance clinical quality, physician engagement, patient safety, value-based care, and organizational growth while maintaining an active clinical practice. *Key Responsibilities* * Provide executive leadership for clinical quality, patient safety, patient experience, and physician performance. * Lead physician recruitment, engagement, retention, and leadership development. * Drive clinical strategy, practice growth, and service line development across primary and specialty care. * Partner with executive leadership to advance value-based care, population health, and operational excellence. * Oversee physician performance, quality improvement, peer review, and clinical governance. * Collaborate with Beth Israel Lahey Health leadership to align local initiatives with system-wide priorities. * Champion a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. *Success Measures* Success in this role will be measured by: * Physician recruitment, engagement, and retention * Clinical quality, patient safety, and patient experience * Provider productivity, access, and operational performance * Growth of primary and specialty care services * Value-based care and population health outcomes * Financial stewardship and leadership development *Qualifications* * MD or DO with Board Certification and New Hampshire medical licensure (or eligibility) * Minimum of five years of progressive physician leadership experience * Leadership experience within a medical group, community hospital, or integrated health system * Demonstrated success in physician engagement, quality improvement, operational leadership, and strategic growth *Interested Candidates* * Please send a Cover Letter and CV to: Melinda Morton, Senior Executive Recruiter at [View email address on click.appcast.io](mailto:View email address on click.appcast.io) Ellen Haggerty, Senior Physician Recruiter at [View email address on click.appcast.io](mailto:View email address on click.appcast.io) Beth Israel Lahey Health, including all of its employing entities, are a purpose-driven, values-based organization that unites our workforce of people who provide exceptional health care to everyone we serve.
