About the Role

The Company is in search of a VP, Tax Compliance to join its in-house tax team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing a variety of tax compliance filings at the federal, state, and local levels. This role also involves coordinating with external tax advisors, supporting tax reporting across different investment vehicles, and assisting with tax provisions and analyses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting, with a preference for those who have experience in the asset management industry, particularly with alternative investment managers, private equity firms, hedge funds, or investment partnerships. Applicants for the VP, Tax Compliance position at the company should hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, with a CPA and/or Master's in Taxation (MST) being preferred. A minimum of 5-8 years' of tax compliance experience, ideally with a Big Four public accounting firm, is required. The role demands a professional with a current Tax Manager, Senior Manager, or equivalent experience, and a proven track record of strong technical tax knowledge and analytical problem-solving skills. The candidate must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, with excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration across various departments.
