Registered Nurse – Telemetry

12-hour night shifts, 1900-0730, three shifts per week. Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.

Assignment Details

Contract length: 13 weeks. Non-billable orientation of 8 hours. Holiday requirement includes working one major holiday from each group (Thanksgiving Day or Black Friday, Christmas Eve or Day, New Year's Eve or Day).

Requirements

• Active RN license in Kansas.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent telemetry experience.
• Experience with TR Band, cardiac drips (Heparin, Butamax, Lasix, Cardizem), and Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation process.
• Preferred 2-5 years of telemetry experience.
• No new graduates accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a telemetry unit.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in their condition.
• Administer medications and manage IV drips as per protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families about their conditions and treatments.
