Program Aide
Position at Yachad
Provide support to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities during programs.
Part-Time Positions available: M,T,W,Th evenings 5-8pm, W 10am-3:30pm, M & W 2:00-6:00pm, Sundays 1:00-4:00pm & 4:00-6:00pm
Responsibilities Include:
- Working with individuals to facilitate engagement during programs
- Implementing group activities
- Supervise program transportation of individuals to/from program in the morning and afternoon
- Communicate with supervisor as well as parents & community liaison
- Foster positive relationships between individuals served and community
- Ensures safety of participants during programs
- Encourages independence
Job Requirements:
- A desire to work with adults with disabilities
- Ability to provide positive motivation to others
- Must be caring, dedicated, responsible, and patient
- Willingness to take public transportation
- Ability to handle physical aspects of job, including walking for periods of time
- HS diploma, GED, or equivalent
