We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to support the assembly of power transmissions and related subassemblies . This is a hands-on role where you’ll work with precision mechanical components, interpret detailed blueprints, and operate various tools in a clean, modern, and safety-focused environment .

• Learn and understand gearbox components (pinions, torque arms, ring gears, etc.)
• Safely operate overhead cranes to move and position equipment
• Disassemble gearboxes using torque wrenches and impact tools
• Accurately record serial numbers during disassembly
• Clean parts by removing protective coatings
• Heat components in ovens and prepare them for assembly
• Assemble subcomponents and complete final builds using cranes and hand tools
• Follow customer-specific instructions for gearbox modifications and add-ons
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

• Minimum 1 year of assembler experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and assembly documentation
• Experience using basic hand and power tools
• Basic math skills for measurements and tool usage

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL.

The pay range for this position is $19.48 - $19.48/hr.
