Description Are you a skilled mechanic with a passion for keeping equipment running at peak performance? Vaughn Industries is currently seeking a Mechanic to join our team at our Carey, OH location. In this role, you'll be responsible for the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of company vehicles and equipment-helping ensure our fleet and tools are always job-ready. Duties will include:
- Service and repair of all equipment for the company in a timely manner
- Complete detailed service records on all equipment
- Account for expenses on all vehicles
- Travel, including emergency road service calls, for company's fleet
- Properly fuel, load and unload equipment
- Work with tool control and maintenance in repairing company tools
- Other tasks as assigned by management
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and systems to maximize efficiency
- Using heavy equipment to safely perform repairs
- Examine and test engines, brakes, transmission, steering, and other systems to identify issues
- Utilize special tools and software to read diagnostic test results and pinpoint problems
- HS diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in the service/repair industry working with gas & diesel powered equipment and their allied equipment and systems
- Willing to work in a shop environment as well as construction jobsites
- Class A CDL with airbrake and combination endorsements preferred
