We’re looking for a Portfolio Manager who brings equal parts financial savvy, curiosity, organization, and good judgment. This role is about much more than monitoring numbers. You’ll work closely with lenders, credit partners, and clients to manage an existing portfolio, evaluate risk, identify opportunities, and make sure relationships remain both profitable and well-managed. In other words, you’ll keep the numbers honest, the paperwork under control, and the portfolio humming along nicely. What You’ll Do Manage and monitor an assigned portfolio of commercial loans and relationships. Analyze borrower financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, debt service coverage, collateral, and overall credit quality. Prepare detailed credit analyses, annual reviews, renewals, modifications, and loan presentations. Monitor portfolio performance and identify emerging risks, covenant concerns, documentation issues, and other credit considerations. Partner with Commercial Lenders and Relationship Managers to support client relationships and lending strategies. Review financial trends and borrower performance to help identify opportunities and potential challenges. Maintain accurate and thorough credit files and ensure portfolio documentation remains current. Participate in loan structuring, underwriting, and credit decision processes as appropriate. Track covenants, exceptions, maturities, past dues, and other portfolio requirements. Work collaboratively with Credit Administration, Loan Operations, Relationship Management, and other internal teams. Assist with problem-loan identification, workout strategies, and risk mitigation when needed. Ensure lending activity follows established credit policies, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures. Bring a thoughtful, analytical approach to balancing relationship needs with sound credit practices. Stay curious about the market, the borrowers, and the story behind the numbers. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred. Several years of commercial banking, credit analysis, underwriting, or portfolio management experience. Strong understanding of commercial lending and credit principles. Excellent financial statement and cash-flow analysis skills. Ability to evaluate risk, identify trends, and make well-supported recommendations. Strong understanding of loan structures, covenants, collateral, and credit documentation. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture. Comfortable working independently while also being a collaborative teammate. A professional approach, sound judgment, and a healthy appreciation for getting the details right. The Personality Fit You don’t have to be the loudest person in the room.
