Job Description Welcome to Maine School Administrative District #75 Serving Maine's Midcoast communities of Bowdoin, Bowdoinham, Harpswell, and Topsham, MSAD 75 is home to over 2,350 students and more than 600 faculty and staff members. MSAD 75 is seeking a Grade 2 Teacher at Harpswell Community School to join our vibrant educational community. Together, we can inspire the next generation of learners and leaders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Exhibit passion and a commitment to helping all students learn at a high level. Contribute to a school culture of appreciation, collegiality and innovation. Utilize skills to be successful with intensive collaboration in a team-based approach to teaching and learning. A strong understanding of research-based Literacy and Mathematics instruction at the primary level; the deep understanding of early literacy development and the components of balanced literacy preferred. Strong communication skills with students, colleagues and parents. All other non-teaching duties per Teacher's Contract.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree or higher in Elementary Education. State of Maine Department of Education background check (CHRC) authorization (must posses at the time of application). State of Maine Department of Education General Elementary K-6 (020) or PreK-3 (029) certification (must posses at the time of application). Commitment to continuous self-improvement and learning. Experience with Teachers College workshop model highly preferred. Marzano's elements of effective teaching practice preferred. Pay transparency as required by Maine Law The pay range for this position depends on years of experience and education level with a wide range of $51,087 - $107,609.
