Psychology Intake Liaison

Full‑time Psychology Intake Liaison at St. Louis Children's Hospital, SLCH Spec Care Center South (5114 Mid America Plaza, STL 63129). Hours: 8:30 am‑5 pm, Monday‑Friday. 40 hours per week. Role Overview This position acts as the liaison between the psychology department and patients, potential patients, and referring providers. It includes managing calls, scheduling, insurance verification, and performing general medical office tasks. Responsibilities Manage up-to-date understanding of insurance benefits related to psychological services, including CPT and ICD‑10, authorizations, and copay/coinsurance. Adhere to system and department policies and procedures to ensure efficient workflow using the electronic medical record system. Perform medical office responsibilities and tasks. Schedule patients with appropriate providers based on referrals received through the electronic medical record system or fax; determine appointment dates, send/obtain new patient paperwork, verify insurance benefits, obtain authorizations, and coordinate with multidisciplinary clinics. Manage department phone line, triage incoming calls, respond to medical record requests, complete affidavits, and obtain notarizations when necessary.
