Plasma Operator

CNC Plasma Operator - First Shift
Locations: Houston, TX - openings in North and South Houston locations
Pay: Based on relevant experience
Schedule: Full-time, first shift; overtime availability required


We are seeking CNC Plasma Operators for two openings in a steel fabrication shop, with one position at each location. This role involves setting up and operating a CNC plasma table, interpreting drawings, and checking finished parts for accuracy and quality.


Responsibilities
- Set up the CNC plasma table with the correct material and consumables.
- Adjust cutting speeds and other settings to produce parts accurately while minimizing waste.
- Read work orders and drawings and program the machine to cut required parts.
- Perform ongoing quality checks and final inspections to verify material quality and quantities.
- Complete required paperwork and delivery tags.
- Package and label completed orders.
- Operate a forklift to move materials.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and keep the work area clean and safe.
- Follow safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.


Qualifications
- Ability to set up, program, and operate CNC plasma cutting equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders and drawings.
- Ability to accurately use tape measures, micrometers, and basic math.
- Ability to handle, lift, and move steel parts weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, climb, and perform the physical tasks required for the position.
- Availability to work overtime.
