Environmental Health & Safety Manager

Dogwood Industries seeks an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead safety and environmental programs in our modular manufacturing operations. In this role, you’ll own EHS strategy and execution across plant and field activities, ensuring compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations while driving a practical, safety-first culture. You will conduct risk assessments, lead incident investigations, manage permitting and reporting, and deliver training to cross-functional teams. Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and field services to embed safety into designs and processes, using data and audits to drive continuous improvement on innovative, nationwide industrial and defense projects. Develop, implement, and oversee EHS programs for manufacturing and modular construction operations Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and industry regulations across plant and field projects Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective action plans Conduct EHS training and toolbox talks for production, field, and project teams Manage environmental permitting, waste handling, and reporting requirements Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and field services to integrate safety into designs and processes Track and analyze safety metrics, trends, and KPIs to drive continuous improvement Lead audits and inspections, following up on findings and improvement actions Champion a safety-first culture aligned with Dogwood’s mission and values Support customer and regulatory EHS reviews for industrial and defense projects OSHA compliance and regulations Environmental permitting and reporting Industrial hygiene and exposure assessment Risk assessment and hazard analysis (JHA/JSA) Incident investigation and root cause analysis Safety training development and delivery EHS management systems (e.g., ISO 14001/45001) Construction and manufacturing safety standards Data analysis and safety metrics reporting Regulatory documentation and audits Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) a plus OSHA 30 certification Hazardous waste/HazMat training (e.g., HAZWOPER) First Aid/CPR certification #J-18808-Ljbffr Reporter Newspapers
