Details Acute Care Hospital setting within a 212-bed facility Day shift, 5x8 hours, Tuesday-Saturday 9:00am-5:30pm Patient population includes geriatrics and orthopedic cases such as hip and knee injuries, total hip/knee replacements, and post-stroke rehabilitation Also treats cardiopulmonary conditions including COPD, CHF, CABG, and MI Utilizes Epic for charting May be required to float between sister facilities nearby Facility may cancel shifts up to once per two-week pay period Requirements Minimum 1 year of recent Physical Therapy experience required Current BLS certification required CA PT license required if applicable Epic experience preferred Experience with acute care settings including ER, ICU, and Medical Surgical units Skilled in AROM/AAROM/PROM, assistive devices, body mechanics, pain assessment, skin integrity, strength testing, and vital sign monitoring Experience with equipment such as gait belts, crutches, hospital beds, standard walkers, and supplemental oxygen delivery Proficient in documentation including evaluations, plans of care, reassessments, short-term goals, and discharge planning Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable setting required for consideration Additional Information Responsibilities include home exercise program development, patient and family education, gait training, and discharge planning Open to first-time travelers Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a local rate Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live more than 50 miles from the facility RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application; post-submission RTO changes may not be accommodated Free parking available on-site American Traveler Job ID P-747212.
