School Psychologist

Enfield Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team. The School Psychologist will provide comprehensive psychological services to students, helping them achieve their full potential in academic, social, and emotional development.

Key responsibilities include conducting psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs and develop appropriate interventions, collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and well-being, maintaining accurate and timely documentation of student progress and services provided, participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and contributing to the development of educational strategies, and staying current with best practices and methodologies in school psychology.

Qualifications include a Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program, valid state licensure and certification as a School Psychologist, experience working in a school setting is preferred, strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and professionals.

Best practices and methodologies include utilizing research and evidence-based methods to inform assessment and intervention strategies, working closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment, respecting and incorporating students' cultural and linguistic backgrounds into interventions, providing immediate support and intervention during crises to ensure student safety and well-being, and engaging in continuous learning and professional development to stay updated with the latest advancements in the field.
