This opportunity is for a skilled inpatient and pediatric pharmacist to contribute to specialized pharmacy services at a leading children's hospital in New Haven, CT. The position is a 13-week contract starting September 21, offering a mix of day and evening shifts with rotating weekend coverage (five 8-hour shifts per week). Candidates with strong inpatient pharmacy experience and exposure to pediatric and women’s health are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities include providing clinical pharmaceutical care in pediatric and women's health units or managing operational duties such as Pharmacist in Charge or sterile processing in the dispensing pharmacy. Your role will involve ensuring safe medication dispensing, collaborating with healthcare teams, and utilizing systems like EPIC and Pyxis to optimize patient outcomes.

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of pharmacy experience; PGY1 residency training preferred or 2-3 years of relevant experience without residency
• Inpatient pharmacy background with exposure to pediatric and women’s health preferred
• Eligibility to obtain a CT pharmacist license (typically acquired within 7-10 days)
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work in diverse pharmacy roles depending on experience

Location:

• New Haven, Connecticut—Relocation support may be available for qualified candidates.

Schedule:

• Rotating shifts including days and evenings
• Weekend coverage required, 5 shifts per 8-hour week
