You will supervise staff accountants on engagements both in the office and on-site at client location, occasionally managing communication with client on-site and developing client relationships. You may be responsible for several engagements at any given time.This role offers opportunity for advancement and a defined path to leadership. We offer competitive compensation and a unique benefits package.Here are a few competency expectations for this position:Assurance Participate in the planning of engagements Complete compilation engagements with guidance Assume additional responsibility for preparation of work papers and financial statements Develop footnotes to financial statements Develop management letter comments Review work papers prepared by staff accountants Tax Prepare higher level individual, corporate and/or other types of tax returns Perform preliminary research on tax-related issues Respond to tax notices Participate in tax planning Deepen knowledge of federal, state and local law General Pass the CPA exam at the conclusion of this position and before being promoted to senior accountant Demonstrate knowledge of client's accounting system and industry Detect problems and offer solutions to client issues Provide training and assistance to staff accountantsEducation Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics or equivalent experience Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or qualified to sit for the CPA exam Job Experience 2-5 years of public accounting experienceTECHEAD's mission is to make our on-site associates successful by placing them in the right environment so they can grow and prosper.
