Senior Project Manager

ROLE PURPOSE

At Billion Dollar Boy, the Senior Project Manager leads the end-to-end delivery of social-first influencer and creator marketing campaigns. Partnering across Client Services, Strategy, Creative, and other cross-functional teams, they ensure projects are planned strategically, executed seamlessly, and delivered on time, within scope, on budget, and in line with client objectives.

As the operational lead on their projects, the Senior Project Manager establishes project governance, aligns stakeholders, proactively manages risk, oversees resources and budgets, and creates the structure that enables teams to do their best work. They anticipate challenges, remove blockers, and drive informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

Beyond individual projects, the Senior Project Manager champions operational excellence across the agency. They continuously improve processes, elevate project management best practices, and contribute to building a scalable, high-performing delivery function that supports exceptional client outcomes and sustainable business growth.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIE

Project Leadership

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex social-first influencer and creator marketing campaigns

• Establish project governance, delivery approach, success measures, and project plans that set teams up for success

• Drive cross-functional collaboration, alignment, and accountability across Client Services, Strategy, Creative, A&I, Paid Media, Production, and external partners

• Anticipate risks, dependencies and delivery challenges, implementing mitigation plans to keep projects on track

Project Planning & Delivery

• Lead project initiation, including kick-offs, timelines, milestones, and resource planning

• Help define project scope, delivery plans, and workflows in partnership with cross-functional teams

• Oversee project execution, ensuring deliverables meet quality expectations and client objectives

• Facilitate project reviews, approvals, and key decision points throughout the project lifecycle

• Manage project workflows and task allocation, ensuring resources are effectively utilized and delivery remains on track

• Anticipate project risks and blockers, implementing timely solutions to maintain momentum and minimize the need for escalation

Financial & Resource Management

• Working closely with the Client Services team, oversee project financial health, including budgets, burn rates, forecasting, reconciliations, and profitability

• Partner with Operations to manage resource allocation, utilization, and capacity planning

• Manage project scope, change requests, and commercial impacts throughout delivery

• Monitor project performance and recommend adjustments to optimize delivery outcomes

Stakeholder Management & Communication

• Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and team members, clients, and external partners

• Provide clear communication on project status, risks, timelines, and recommendations

• Facilitate project governance, ensuring timely decision-making and stakeholder alignment

• Manage expectations while balancing client needs, strategic and creative ambition, and operational priorities

• Facilitate transparent communication across cross-functional teams, ensuring information flows effectively and dependencies are surfaced early

• Lead with positivity and accountability, fostering a team environment that motivates collaboration, ownership and high performance

Operational Excellence

• Champion project management standards, governance, and best practices across the agency

• Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and ways of working, driving greater efficiency, consistency, and scalability

• Drive the adoption and optimization of project management tools and systems to enhance operational effectiveness

• Lead project retrospectives, capturing key learnings and translating insights into process improvements and best practices

Team Leadership

• When applicable, mentor and coach Project Managers, supporting their growth through feedback, guidance, and knowledge sharing

• Provide leadership on complex delivery challenges and project management best practices

• Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing project management culture

• Support onboarding, capability building, and continuous improvement initiatives across the team

• Advocate for the project management function by building trust and fostering strong partnerships across cross-functional teams

SKILLS & EXPERIENCES

• 6–8+ years of project management experience within a marketing, creative, social or integrated agency environment. Experience delivering influencer, creator or social-first marketing campaigns is considered an asset

• Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional projects from initiation through delivery, managing multiple workstreams simultaneously

• Strong understanding of project management principles, including scope management, budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, risk management and stakeholder mananagment

• Experience managing project financials, including budgets, forecasting, profitability, reconciliations and scope management

• Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships, influence stakeholders, and drive alignment across cross-functional teams

• Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities and enable informed decision-making

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to proactively identify risks, resolve complex delivery challenges and adapt to changing priorities

• Experience mentoring or coaching team members and contributing to the development of project management best practices

• Experience improving project workflows, operational processes and delivery standards to enhance efficiency and consistency

• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools, including Google Workspace, Smartsheet, Float, Slack and similar platforms
