As a Security Officer – Surveillance, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as a security operations center, call centre, parking gatehouse, etc. What’s in it for you: Location: Santa Clara, CA Set schedule: Part time, 24 hours per week. A comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions, disability coverage, and life insurance options Career growth opportunities at GardaWorld Uniform provided at no cost Responsibilities of Global Security Operations Center Operator The individual will work in a GSOC setting assisting the GSOC manager with any tasks assigned to them during their shift The Operator will be in an environment monitoring several screens The Operator will use a variety of tools that range from access control and alarm monitoring systems to various business intelligence sources, open-source media, Internet, and in-house tools Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner Investigate alarms and respond by sending security patrol, or alerting Fire services or Police as needed Conduct investigations using numerous applications to confirm or deny any accusations or events reported to the Global Security Team Have the ability to multitask under stressful or intense circumstances Support the GSOC Manager in the completion of necessary tasks Excellent customer service is always your top priority. You observe, survey the area and provide reporting on activity at your assigned location. You provide rapid response in critical situations. Good at reading and writing detailed reports. You know when and how to enforce customer procedures, regulations and standards. Qualifications You have a state security license and additional 32hr BSIS security trainings (Additional security trainings can be obtained during the hiring process) MUST have at minimum two years of GSOC experience Must be 21+ years of age Must have experience creating and issuing badges Must have experience using a variety of different systems Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED Be authorized to work in the U.S. Strong report writing skills Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus Strong proficiency with technology If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience – even better!
