Radiation Dosimetrist

MLR is seeking a Dosimetrist to play a key role in our client's Radiation Oncology department. The Dosimetrist will be responsible for designing treatment plans for cancer patients using advanced treatment planning systems. This position requires a strong understanding of medical physics, radiation oncology, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, physicists, and radiation therapists.

Radiation Dosimetrist Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Dosimetry or a related field.
• Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB).
• Proficiency in treatment planning systems such as Eclipse or Varian.
• Strong knowledge of radiation therapy techniques and protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Radiation Dosimetrist Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and other team members to design optimal treatment plans for cancer patients.
• Utilize advanced treatment planning systems to create accurate and efficient dose distributions.
• Perform dose calculations and optimization for a variety of treatment techniques, including 3D conformal, IMRT, VMAT, and brachytherapy.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality and safe radiation therapy treatments.
• Participate in quality assurance processes and monitor treatment plan effectiveness.
