Shift Details

Night shift position, 4 days on and 4 days off, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. This position is available for a duration of 13 weeks with an ASAP start date.

Position Overview

The candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to adults and geriatric patients in a facility with a capacity of 200 or more beds. This role involves working as part of a team to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active Oregon CNA license; pending licenses are not accepted.
• Minimum of 12 months of recent experience as a CNA in an acute care setting within the past three years.
• Experience working with adult and geriatric patients.
• Proficiency in using Epic charting software is a mandatory requirement.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA is required.
• Experience in obtaining vital signs and reporting abnormal findings.
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and patient transfer protocols.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report on patient vital signs.
• Assist patients with daily living activities, including hygiene and mobility.
• Perform safe patient transfers and positioning.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality care.
• Provide support in activities of daily living (ADLs) for patients as needed.

Patient Care Details

• Work with a patient care ratio of 1:10 to 1:14.
• Engage with interdisciplinary teams including IV therapy, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more.
• Participate in patient rounds and contribute to care planning processes.

Additional Information

• This position requires flexibility to float to other units as necessary.
• Complete necessary training modules prior to start date and annually thereafter.
• Must be available to start within 3-4 weeks of the current date.
