Shipper & Receiver

Hiring Immediately for a Shipping/Receiving clerk in the local Montgomery County area. Apply today to be considered for this role!

Pay: $20-25/hr (Based on experience)
Shift: 1st shift (7am-330pm Dayshift)
Responsibilities

• Receive incoming materials and verify all shipments against bills of lading and receipts to ensure accuracy.
• Inspect all incoming materials for correctness, damage, and conformity with documentation before acceptance.
• Supply production lines by communicating with production staff to determine required materials and retrieving them in a timely manner.
• Operate a small parts moving robot to transport boxes of materials to various departments throughout the facility.
• Use RF scan guns and computer systems to accurately track inventory, shipments, and receipts.
• Prepare shipping documents and labels for domestic and international shipments in accordance with company procedures and carrier requirements.
• Package, palletize, and prepare finished goods for shipment, ensuring items are securely packed and properly labeled.
• Perform shipping and receiving functions including loading and unloading materials, organizing stock, and maintaining accurate records.
• Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and other tools, to move materials safely and efficiently.

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in warehouse shipping and receiving operations.
• Hands-on receiving experience, including verifying shipments against bills of lading.
• Strong inventory knowledge and ability to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Proficiency with RF scan guns and basic computer skills for data entry and tracking.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications for basic documentation and communication.
• Ability to prepare shipping documents for domestic and international shipments.
• Experience with packaging, labeling, and palletizing finished goods for shipment.
• Material handling experience, including operating forklifts and related equipment.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours during a shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with ERP systems is a strong asset.
• Familiarity with UPS or similar shipping platforms for processing shipments.
• Comfort working on the warehouse floor and in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience using RF scanners for inventory and shipping tasks.
• General computer literacy and comfort learning new systems and tools.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Montgomeryville, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
