Manufacturing Quality Engineer

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support manufacturing at our Middlefield, CT facility. As a Manufacturing Quality Engineer you will focus on hands‑on manufacturing quality execution and process ownership and for several key quality processes critical to site performance, including Statistical Process Control (SPC), Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), New Product Introduction (NPI) quality support, and Incoming Quality Control (IQC). Key Responsibilities Provide day‑to‑day quality engineering support to manufacturing operations. Partner with Manufacturing and Engineering to improve process capability, robustness, and documentation. Support containment, investigation, and resolution of in‑process quality issues. Own and continuously improve the site’s Statistical Process Control (SPC) program, including control strategy development, charting, analysis, and response plans. Lead Measurement System Analysis (MSA) activities to ensure inspection and test systems are capable and fit for use. Own Incoming Quality Control (IQC) processes, including inspection strategies, supplier issue investigation, and corrective action support. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from a manufacturing quality perspective, including readiness reviews, risk assessment, and early production support. Develop and maintain PFMEAs and control plans for assigned manufacturing processes. Perform root cause analysis using structured problem‑solving methodologies. Implement effective corrective and preventive actions to address true root causes and prevent recurrence. Apply statistical and analytical tools to evaluate process performance and guide improvement. #J-18808-Ljbffr AMETEK
