School Psychologist in Baton Rouge, LA

Job Description

Step into a pivotal role supporting K-12 students across multiple school sites near Baton Rouge, LA! We’re seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented professional with a strong background in school psychology to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team on a contract basis for the 2026-2027 school year. This opportunity involves supporting students, families, and educators, with a primary focus on discipline requests and comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

Valid NASP certification or LSSP credential from the Louisiana State Board of Examiners and Psychologists required
Experience with psychoeducational evaluations and IDEA compliance
Skilled in interpreting assessment data and writing clear, thorough evaluation reports
Familiarity with K-12 special education eligibility and multidisciplinary team processes
Excellent communication abilities for sharing results with parents, educators, and school teams
Collaboration experience with school staff including diagnosticians, speech-language pathologists, and administrators
Strong organizational skills and time management to ensure evaluation timelines are met
Bilingual abilities highly valued
Successful district background check and fingerprinting required
Candidates must pass a tech screen prior to onboarding

What You'll Do:

Complete assessments, interpret results, and develop written reports within required timelines
Work directly with students and their families, offering guidance utilizing established educational practices
Collaborate regularly with school staff to design interventions, set learning strategies, and interpret assessment processes
Maintain meticulous case records, forms, and reports to support accountability and service continuity
Participate in trainings and explain evaluation processes to all stakeholders
Partner in planning individualized support and intervention programs as part of a multidisciplinary team
