Position:   Rotational Private Chef

Location:   Austin, Texas, USA

Guests:  2 adults and 4 children, plus additional staff lunches

Compensation:  $180,000+ per year, plus benefits

Start Date:   September 2026

Contract:   Full-time, W-2 contract, 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off

Vacations:  2 weeks off after every 2 weeks worked

Diet and restriction:   No specific diet or restriction

Job description:

The role:
A private family in Austin, TX is looking for an experienced rotational Private Chef to manage daily family meals. The chef will work closely with the family's other chef to provide food coverage throughout the week. This is a live-out role for a chef who enjoys high-quality and tasty home-style cooking rather than formal fine dining every day.   Excellent, well-prepared, beautifully presented, and flavorful cuisine is required.

A driving licence is required for kitchen provisioning and household errands.

Food and cuisine preferences:
The family enjoys   Italian, Mediterranean, modern American, and Japanese cuisine.   They are looking for healthy, varied, and flavourful everyday cooking, prepared with care, good taste, and consistency. The chef will mainly   prepare lunch and dinner for two adults and four children, as well as additional staff lunches.   The chef will also be required to assist with grocery shopping and purchasing non-food items and toiletries to help keep the household running smoothly.

Contract and package:
This is a full-time rotational position, working 2 weeks on followed by 2 weeks off, with flexibility required around the household's needs.   The compensation on offer is $180,000+ per year, plus benefits.   The role can be offered on a W-2 basis, with eligibility for a monthly healthcare stipend and 401(k) matching. The position is live-out, with accommodation not provided. The 2 weeks off after each 2-week working period form part of the rotational package, the chef must be flexible for longer or shorter work period when and if required by the family's schedule.

Additional information:
The family is looking for a chef with 5+ years of Private Chef experience who is friendly, clean, organised, and very flexible. The chef must be comfortable working in a private home with children and supporting the wider household when required.
